Two Individuals Charged for Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
